Summary

  • First-time setup offers one-step defaults and continues into the command the user ran.
  • Release notes get shorter bullets and list breaking changes first.

Why this is being made

  • New users had to answer the full setup interview before their first commit.
  • Running /kermit on an un-set-up repo did not clearly resume the requested command.
  • Release-note bullets ran past 40 words, and breaking changes sat fifth in the order.

Specific changes

  • skills/kermit/refs/protocol-init.md: new "defaults or customise" first step (new CHANGELOG.md, flash mode); a Finish section resumes the requested mode, and only --init exits.
  • skills/kermit/SKILL.md: mode check states that setup continues into the requested mode.
  • skills/kermit/refs/template-release.md: Breaking first, one-sentence bullets of 20 words or fewer, fixed blank-line spacing, shorter exemplar.
  • skills/kermit/refs/protocol-release.md: rewrite step and Highlight follow the new template rules.
  • README.md: documents the new first question and continue-after-setup behaviour.
  • CHANGELOG.md: entry [38].
