Design, EM simulation, and circuit/field co-simulation of a circularly polarized 10.5 GHz phased array. The project integrates an eight-element microstrip array with a cascaded Wilkinson feed network and discrete phase-shifter blocks in Ansys HFSS and Keysight ADS.
Important
All values are pre-fabrication simulation results. Manufacturing tolerances, connector/fixture effects, measured S-parameters, anechoic-chamber patterns, and experimental validation are not included.
- Single element in HFSS: circularly polarized microstrip patch on RT/duroid 5880.
- Array development: three-element coupling study followed by the final eight-element linear array.
- Feed network in ADS: cascaded one-to-eight Wilkinson divider and phase-shifter blocks.
- Co-simulation: HFSS Touchstone exports embedded into ADS for system-level steering evaluation.
- Layout EM analysis: Momentum-based validation of key RF feed structures.

Generated ADS datasets, Momentum caches, search history, local preferences, and simulation logs are excluded from version control. They are regenerated by ADS when the workspace is simulated.
- Clone the repository.
- Open the
.hfssprojects in a compatible Ansys Electronics Desktop release. - Open the ADS workspaces from
ADS_Workspace/in a compatible Keysight ADS release. - Keep the relative
snp/structure intact for the integrated schematics. - Regenerate datasets and Momentum output locally as needed.
