Luís Miguel Massih Pereira

Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Bossa Nova Solutions, with 13 years of experience building software. I build and modernize the systems businesses depend on (cloud platforms, Node.js backends and React products), and I'm known for taking over critical legacy systems and replacing them safely, without disrupting the business that runs on them. I also run Mape Labs, my AI lab.

Experience

Tech Lead, Senior Software Engineer · Bossa Nova Solutions

Oct 2023 - Present

Software consultancy. I lead the modernization of critical systems for US clients without disrupting the business that runs on them.

Qwire, a music rights platform (clearance, licensing, cue sheets) used by studios and networks such as NBC, Warner Bros. and Netflix:

  • Replaced the legacy reporting system with AWS QuickSight, giving studio clients faster, self-service reports on credits, union fees, licensor status and performance royalties.
  • Led the migration of the engine that imports marketing and commercial music into the platform, with a staged cutover from the old engine.
  • Made rights and licensing fees consistent across entire productions, keeping music costs accurate as tracks are added or changed.
  • Automated environment and database operations on AWS to cut manual work and idle cloud spend.

PING Ballnamic, the golf ball fitting product of PING, one of the world's leading golf equipment makers: it recommends the best of 40+ ball models from robot-tested performance data, sold as a paid service to US golfers.

  • Built the in-store kiosk version, so golfers can get fitted at retail locations.
  • Prototyped a modular checkout with payments and sales tax, and built a tool for the support team to investigate failed purchases.
  • Improved the fitting questionnaire and recommendations golfers pay for, and delivered the B2B landing page that captures business inquiries.

Nettwerk, one of the world's largest independent music companies, which has worked with artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Passenger and Coldplay:

  • Built the Fan Integration API that lets external marketing partners send fan audiences into Nettwerk's analytics, with separate test and live access per partner.
  • Built the daily pipeline that validates partner fan data and loads it into Snowflake, plus the docs and onboarding guides that let new partners integrate on their own.

Founder, Lead Engineer · Mape Labs

2026 - Present · my AI lab

An AI-native product lab: I set the direction, the architecture and written quality standards, and AI agents do the building under my review. Most of that work lives in private repositories; this is what it ships.

Estelar Online, a multiplayer space game in the browser:

  • A real-scale universe with 112,144 real stars and 6,338 known exoplanets, where players explore and land on real planets, trade, form guilds and compete in teams.
  • Taken from idea to live product as the only human on the project, directing AI agents across game design, development, infrastructure, payments, support and community features; Steam release in preparation.
  • Built the verification that makes agent output trustworthy: strict typing, unit and Playwright end-to-end tests, in-game debug hooks and browser checks before every release.

PQN Live, a Brazilian live-commerce marketplace with live video auctions and "buy now" sales, built for a client with the same model:

  • Defined the architecture of the entire platform and owned quality assurance from the first commit, with AI agents also doing the execution under my standards.
  • Took it from first commit to launch on AWS in less than three months, with fully automated, low-risk releases; more than 2,000 production deployments since.
  • Delivered the buying experience end to end: live auctions and bidding, checkout and card payments, orders, cancellations, disputes and reviews.
  • Shaped the business rules that keep the marketplace fair and safe: seller commissions, card validation, dispute resolution and seller health scores.

FloatCode, a free app that mirrors every terminal on your computer, including Claude Code sessions, to your phone:

  • First release on Homebrew 17 days after the first commit; 24 versions since, for macOS, Linux and Windows.
  • Local only: PIN-protected pairing over your Wi-Fi, with no data sent to any server.
