Description

Brings all 750 questions across the 40 topics up to date as of September 2026. It also finishes the 246 new questions (ids 507–750) so they follow the house answer structure. There is one commit per topic directory.

Answer structure

• About 280 newer questions only had a "What the interviewer is listening for" section. Each now has a Short answer → Detail → Example → Interview tips structure, a trade-off, a runnable example and the footer back-link.
• About 80 older questions had no Example section. Each now has one.

Out-of-date content (the main examples)

• Kubernetes: Ingress-NGINX is retired, so ingress answers point to Gateway API and ingress2gateway. In-place Pod resize is GA in 1.35 and native sidecars in 1.33. DRA examples use resource.k8s.io/v1. kube-proxy defaults to nftables, and IPVS is deprecated.
• Tooling:
  • Helm 4 flag renames.
  • Terraform: S3 use_lockfile locking replaces DynamoDB, and Terraform Cloud is now HCP Terraform.
  • Crossplane v2, the Kyverno per-rule failureAction, and Rego v1 syntax.
  • Promtail is replaced by Alloy, and the OTel Collector otlp exporter is now otlp_grpc.
• Standards: OWASP Top 10 2025, SLSA 1.2, NIST SP 800-61r3, the five DORA metrics (including rework rate), and the CA/B Forum certificate lifetimes.
• Cloud: AWS, Azure and GCP service renames, retirements and billing changes, for example IPv4 charges, Lambda INIT billing, Deployment Manager → Infrastructure Manager, and default outbound access removed from new Azure VNets.

Correctness

• Examples that would not parse or run are fixed: single-line Terraform blocks, Dockerfile inline comments, cron and systemd syntax, Flyway CONCURRENTLY migrations, etcd restore, and pg_restore from stdin.
• Wrong claims are fixed, for example:
  • Helm release Secrets were described as "encrypted".
  • Redis Cluster was described as a "hash ring".
  • Deployments were said to "auto-revert".
  • The burn-rate budget maths was wrong.

Docs and tooling

• Question counts and difficulty badges in the README are updated to 750.
• The PR template checklist now matches CONTRIBUTING (wikilinks, Prettier, markdownlint, and a currency check).
• A quiz data builder, and quiz frontmatter parsing in the shared library, are added.
• Workflow actions are pinned to commit SHAs.
• Compiled .pyc files are no longer tracked (they were already listed in .gitignore).
