Summary

Add Aitoword, a free browser-based Markdown-to-Word converter, to the tools directory. I maintain Aitoword and am submitting it for editorial review.

_tools/aitoword.md Tool overview and Markdown support
assets/images/tools/aitoword.png Product icon

The overview documents the conversion workflow, supported equations, local text processing, and the limitations of images, HTML, and browser previews.

Evidence

  • Before: the directory has no Aitoword entry.
  • After: the entry uses the existing documents category, support-table include, and 28 recognized syntax IDs. Its description is 60 characters and its icon is a valid 512 x 512 PNG.
  • Tested an actual export from https://aitoword.online/en/: the DOCX contained two native equations, one native table, one footnote reference, checkbox elements, heading and text styles, and no embedded images. Automatic URL linking, inline-code link suppression, image descriptions, and literal HTML were checked in the generated document.
  • A full Jekyll build was not run locally. Please check the repository's preview before merging.

Merge Danger

Door: two-way; removing the tool page and icon reverses the change.

Blast Radius: one directory entry. No layouts, dependencies, or existing tool pages change.
