Statistics and Data Analysis Officer at UNHCR's Regional Bureau for Eastern and Southern Africa, Nairobi. I work on refugee statistics, survey design and applied econometrics, and I build small open source tools for the parts of that work that are slower than they should be.

	Backtickle A free, open source Markdown reader and writer for macOS, Windows and Linux. Write on the left, read on the right: six Markdown flavors (including Quarto / R Markdown, Pandoc and Obsidian), math, Mermaid and Graphviz, citations, and export to HTML, PDF and Word. Nothing in a document ever runs.
	convertxlsform R package that turns an ODK or KoboToolbox XLSForm into a formatted paper questionnaire, in Word or PDF, for review, printing and checking skip logic. Multilingual forms supported.
	pyramid_chart Stata command that draws population pyramids, with percentage labels, axes and legend built from your value labels. Published on SSC.
