The Akan Name Generator is a web-based application that allows users to determine their Akan name based on their birthdate and gender. Akan names are derived from the day of the week a person is born, and this application provides a simple and interactive way to discover your Akan name.

Setup Instructions

1. Clone the repository to your local machine:

   git clone https://github.com/your-username/akan-name-generator.git

2. navigate to the project directory cd akan-name-generator
3. open the index.html file in your browser to run the application

Features

1. Input Validation:

   • When: The user submits the form.
   • Then: An error message is displayed prompting the user to correct the input.

2. Akan Name Generation:

   • Given: A user enters a valid birthdate and selects a gender.
   • When: The user submits the form.
   • Then: The application calculates the day of the week and displays the corresponding Akan name.

3. Gender Validation:

   • Given: A user selects an invalid gender.
   • When: The user submits the form.
   • Then: An error message is displayed prompting the user to select a valid gender.

• Input: Birthdate: 1995-06-15, Gender: Male
• Output: "Your Akan name is: Kwadwo"
