Socket.io Chat Application

This project is a real-time chat application built using Node.js, Socket.io, and Firebase for message storage. It allows users to send and receive messages in real-time.

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone <repository-url>
   

2. Navigate to the project directory:

   cd socket.io-chat-app
   

3. Install the dependencies:

   npm install
   

4. Set up Firebase:

   • Create a Firebase project at Firebase Console.
   • Obtain your Firebase configuration and add it to the src/firebase.js file.

Usage

1. Start the application:

   npm start
   

2. Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000 to access the chat application.
