Reverts the three GitHub Pages commits from Sep 2, 2026 and restores the repository to the exact file tree from commit 5cf661b, preserving the README store-link change.
Reverted effects:
This removes the Pages landing-page files, DESIGN.md, and the Pages-specific regression-test changes introduced by those commits.
