This applies to both feature/* -> epic/* and epic/* -> develop integration PRs.

Target Version (Required)

Target Version: [Unreleased]

Maintenance CI script bugfix for workflow stability; no product/runtime behavior change.

Description

The maintenance workflow job "📋 Aggregate & Create Build Error Issues" failed at runtime in run 33523391210 / job 99907991179 due to a JavaScript ReferenceError.
This change restores function scope in the aggregation script so the job can complete and publish outputs.

  • Root cause

    • enforceMarkdownSizeLimit() was declared inside safeReadJson() and was therefore out of scope at call site.
  • Fix

    • Close safeReadJson() before helper declaration.
    • Promote enforceMarkdownSizeLimit() to module scope.
  • Impact

    • Aggregation script no longer crashes during markdown generation.
    • Workflow can continue to issue/comment/dashboard steps.
function safeReadJson(filePath) {
  try {
    return JSON.parse(fs.readFileSync(filePath, 'utf8'));
  } catch {
    return null;
  }
}

function enforceMarkdownSizeLimit(markdown) {
  if (markdown.length <= MAX_MARKDOWN_CHARS) return markdown;
  // ...
}
