Package the advisory composition and motion skill with its worked MetaTables example. Include both resources in distribution and clean-install checks and route the SDK guidance to it. Co-authored-by: Codex <codex@openai.com>
Tau, a coding-agent harness, read the repository's development instructions as the deployed Agent's: the root AGENTS.md and every AGENTS.md above the workspace were injected as project instructions, and since 2.0.15 every skill under .agents/skills, including the ms_tau_sdk, mainsequence and repository development bundles, was listed as one of the Agent's skills, expandable from chat with /skill:<name> and served by the skill-scoped read. The runtime now reads skills from .tau/skills, prompt templates from .tau/prompts and project instructions from .tau/AGENTS.md. The .agents project locations resolve to their .tau counterparts through the SDK's TauPaths, and Tau's AGENTS.md discovery is wrapped where tau_coding.session binds it, locked to tau-ai==0.4.2 like the provider patch of ADR 0016; another version fails session construction. TAU_INCLUDE_DEVELOPMENT_RESOURCES (default false) restores Tau's whole- repository reading for an Agent that is a coding agent over its own repository; like the two exclusion settings it is process-wide and applies to managed and local sessions. The selected system prompt files, context files and skills, and Tau's resource diagnostics, are logged as runtime.project_resources.* with workspace-relative paths and shown in agent inspection under "resources". Docs: ADR 0025, amendment notes on ADRs 0003, 0006 and 0011, the project configuration guide, quickstart, README, settings and compatibility references, the Security and access guide, the packaged tau_project_customization and tau_repository_integration skills, and the changelog with the migration note for repositories that kept runtime skills under .agents/skills. The merge of development into main is the release, and the release workflow requires the declared version to head CHANGELOG.md. pyproject.toml already declares 2.0.26, which is not on PyPI. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Summary
The deployed Agent reads its resources only from

A repository whose Agent used skills under
.agents/skillsat runtime moves them directly into.tau/skillsand, when it publishes them with the mainsequence SDK'sskills_extension, points the publisher at.tau/skills; the publisher's folder rules then apply to the whole folder, and a skill folder cannot share its name with a group folder. Instructions for the Agent that lived in the rootAGENTS.mdmove to.tau/AGENTS.md.ms-tau skills syncand the development workflow are unchanged.Verification
