Links in the sidebar menu

Hi, I wanted to add a link to /series in the sidebar menu but since the requirements are

Have a corresponding markdown file in your /content/ directory.
Be declared in your config.toml file (example below).

it isn't possible.
Is there a way to modify the theme to allow this:

menu = [ {Name = "Events", URL = "/series/", HasChildren = false}, ]

Or maybe I'm not using the theme correctly ?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'd like to add a web URL to the menu bar, something like

{Name = "Wiki", URL = "https://wiki.url.tld"},

Would be really awesome, keep up the good work!
