datadog-pi-leds

A small hackday project that connects your Datadog alerts to physical LEDs on a Raspberry Pi, giving you a simple, visual alerting system. Handy for when you've got the headphones on and might otherwise miss a page.

• Polls Datadog for recent events (error/info)
• Lights up LEDs via Raspberry Pi GPIO

Setup

# install
git clone https://github.com/lukecassidy/datadog-pi-leds.git
cd datadog-pi-leds
pip install -r requirements.txt

# set your Datadog keys as environment variables:
export DD_API_KEY="your_api_key"
export DD_APP_KEY="your_app_key"

# run it
python -m app.app
