Temporary "failed to load media" screen

Describe the bug
If I open the picture right after taking it, I receive the "Failed to load media" error. The error disappears if I wait 2-5 seconds before tapping on the thumbnail.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Take a picture with Pixel Camera (GCam)
2. Shortly after, tap on the picture thumbnail within the camera app to open the Gallery
3. Gallery will open, loading a ".pending-XXXX" file
4. Error message "Failed to load media" will show
5. Return to camera app
6. Open the same thumbnail again and it will now work

Expected behavior
By tapping on the thumbnail, I expected to see my picture full screen from my Gallery App (Fossify Gallery)

Thanks for providing all the details, and especially the video, that's super helpful. Just to double check, we're talking about an unlocked device, the picture is NOT taken from the lockscreen, right?

It looks like the post-processing of the camera app is the issue, because it renames the file. To investigate, I need to reproduce this and capture the intents (links) sent by Gcam. Depending how these intents look like, this issue might not be solvable on my side, because my app can only work with the data it receives from Gcam, it (likely) cannot "translate" the ".pending-XXXX" filename to the real filename.

Finally, I want to be honest, I don't know yet when I will look into this. This project (along others) is run in my free time and I need to schedule/prioritize it.

Just want to add that this is also discussed in #153 and the issue in the gallery app here. If they cannot fix it at the gallery app level where they have access to the users media files this will make it quite unlikely it can be solved here.

Hi Lukas,
don't worry and thanks for taking the time to read this. Yes, I confirm my device was unlocked.
I've tried using a different photo gallery, switching to the GrapheneOS gallery. The issue still persists.
