The cached metadata file for Brazil is a subset of the 37k station list that one can fetch from the API. Initially, I was attempting to filter the station catalog by interpreting some column name and thought I filtered by station that have discharge data. However, a colleague reached out to the national agency and apparently "Tipo_Estacao_Desc_Liquida" == 1` indicates if a station has discharge/stage measurements. The new cached file is now filtered against this value.
