Clicknet Explorer is a fully functional web browser with a pixel-perfect recreation of the classic Windows 8/8.1 Metro UI (Modern UI) Internet Explorer 10. Built entirely within Clickteam Fusion 2.5, this project seamlessly bridges retro game engine logic with modern web rendering capabilities.
- Authentic Windows 8 Experience: Implements the iconic Fullscreen touch-first interface with the hidden bottom app bar.
- Metro UI / Windows Phone Aesthetics: Features authentic minimalist icons and UI styling directly inspired by the Windows Phone / Windows 8 ecosystem.
- Modern Web Rendering: Powered by a robust internal WebView runtime, meaning modern websites (including Wikipedia, Google, and more) render perfectly with zero layout breakage.
- 100% Pure Event Logic: Built primarily using Clickteam Fusion's native variable systems and the legendary Counter objects, proving that complex application UI is fully possible without traditional programming languages.
The app-bar pane toggles dynamically (just like the original Windows 8 Metro IE) on request, keeping the viewport completely uninhibited.

- Download the latest distribution package from the Releases section.
- Extract the
.ziparchive completely (ensureClicknetExplorer.exe,.datasset files, and thesourcedirectory remain together). - Launch
ClicknetExplorer.exe.
⚠️ Note on Antivirus Software: Due to the nature of Clickteam Fusion 2.5 compilation wrappers, some strict antivirus software (such as Windows Defender) may falsely flag the application as an unrecognized wrapper. This is a known false positive common with standard Clickteam binaries. The application is entirely safe.
