+# Lazybox
+
+`lazybox` is the native operations dashboard from
+[`keys-i/tools`](https://github.com/keys-i/tools). It owns its terminal UI and
+directly queries the selected installed backend; it does not launch Lazydocker,
+Lazycontainer, or Lazyslurm.
+
+The `action` may be `snapshot` or `open`. `snapshot` is safe inside the Scripts
+output pane and supports stable plain or JSON output. `open` needs its own
+terminal, so the dashboard shows the exact direct command. Automatic selection
+tries Docker, Apple Container, then Slurm and uses the first backend whose
+inventory command succeeds.
+Choose a `backend` with `--backend auto|docker|apple|slurm`; snapshots accept a
+`format` of `--plain` or `--json`.
+
+The dashboard strips control characters from backend output and never invokes
+a shell. Start, stop, restart, and Slurm cancellation act only on the selected
+item and require confirmation. Backend calls stop after 30 seconds and capture
+at most 8 MiB of combined output. Install and authenticate the backend CLI
+separately. The prepared `keys-tools` PyPI package has not been published.
