Overview

A practical two-year progression plan for improving the scripts collection across safety, cross-platform workflows, agent integrations, and terminal usability.

Progress update — 1 August 2026 (Brisbane)

PR #18 merged the combined release candidate to main at 82d933d; all 17 candidate checks passed on one SHA, and every applicable post-merge check passed. PR #17 locks responsive TUI geometry, keyboard-only flows, monochrome rendering, and font fallbacks into the dashboard contract. PR #16 refreshes the agent storage, cleanup, diagnosis, Skills compatibility, and authority contracts. PR #15 advances the support matrix, strict manual contracts, cross-platform failure handling, Slurm exports, and streamed-release recovery. PR #13 delivered the streaming launcher and practical Slurm workflow, while PR #11 delivered automated quality and security checks.

Completion times below record when the repository evidence was verified or merged; they do not invent historical authoring dates. Hosted CI does not exercise privileged repairs, physical disk recovery, cloud-side agent deletion, or a real Slurm cluster.

Maintenance review — 1 August 2026 (Brisbane)

PR #18 combined the progression, agent, and TUI work and merged it at commit 82d933d. All 17 candidate checks passed on the same tree, including launcher, dashboard, and Python self-tests on hosted Ubuntu, macOS, and Windows; native shell and PowerShell checks; formatting and workflow validation; CodeQL; dependency review and audit; security lint; and OSV scanning. Applicable post-merge checks on main also passed.

The no-install launcher was then streamed from merged main and returned ok: 11 documented scripts and three OS catalogs.

This verifies the repository's automated contracts, not every operational environment. CI did not exercise elevated repair paths, physical disk recovery, cloud-side agent deletion, terminal-specific screen-reader behavior, or submission to a real Slurm cluster.

Next roadmap

  • ✅ PR #19 added the merge-SHA-pinned streamed-launcher smoke; hosted Ubuntu, macOS, and Windows all passed at eaa0700.
  • Exercise guarded cleanup, disk, hardware, and security workflows on disposable or recoverable native systems, recording preview, confirmation, privilege, and failure behavior.
  • Validate Slurm planning and submission on a real cluster with representative CPU and GPU jobs, including account policy and generated .out/.err files.
  • Establish a recurring compatibility review for agent storage and Skills contracts, pinned GitHub Actions and Python dependencies, and relevant vulnerability advisories.
