Why

GitHub's license detector showed "other" instead of Apache-2.0 because the previous LICENSE had the appendix boilerplate trimmed (183 vs 202 canonical lines), dropping licensee's match confidence below threshold.

What

  • Replace LICENSE with the verbatim Apache-2.0 text from apache.org (leading blank line stripped so it opens on Apache License). This is the standard, detector-recognized form, with the instructional APPENDIX and the canonical Copyright [yyyy] [name of copyright owner] placeholder intact.
  • The project's actual copyright assertion (Copyright 2026 Jing Wang) already lives in NOTICE and is unchanged — attribution is not lost.

Effect

  • Repo sidebar will display Apache-2.0 once merged.
  • No change to the license terms; the project remains Apache-2.0.

docs: type → does not trigger a semantic-release version bump.

GitHub's license detector reported 'other' because the appendix boilerplate
had been trimmed (183 vs 202 canonical lines), dropping match confidence.
Replace LICENSE with the verbatim Apache-2.0 text from apache.org so the
repository is correctly identified as Apache-2.0. The project copyright
(Jing Wang) remains asserted in NOTICE.
