I tried everything I could to make the script click the skip button, but I couldn't find a way.

I admit, I did ask Claude after an hour of debugging this stupid thing, and it said that I'd need a heavy, not-so-subtle API with more snesitive permissions in manifest.json

so basically for those banner after-ads you get (that are like images not videos), you'll just have to wait for it to auto-skip.

I'm going to remove all the click stuff and just accept that there's a limitation to my code. Although I know the solution now, I also know that it's not worth it. After all, why do we even not want ads? Because it ruins the vibe. I don't want some banner at the top of my screen ruining my vibe as long as the extension is active, just for 1 tiny workaround that I don't even want that much.

Really fast project (not even 3 hours), never knew chrome extensions were this easy. I genuinely just made the folder into an extension in 3 clicks, no joke.

oh and also happy 4th of July to all the people who's country is being run by da big Trump (no opinion on him will be shared on here😅)
