This repository contains the analysis and key findings from an Alumni Community Survey conducted in February 2026. The survey aimed to gather insights into alumni demographics, event preferences, volunteer capacity, and ideas for strengthening the global alumni network.
The results are based on 40 total respondents, representing four fellowship cohorts (2019 to 2025).
The analysis revealed an engaged, globally diverse community with a strong volunteer pool and a clear need for career development support.
- Top Event: The Expert Series is the clear favorite, with an average interest score of 4.53/5 and 62% of respondents selecting "Very Interested".
- Most Supported Event: ET Sprints (collaborative, action-oriented format) is the only event where volunteers are marginally more willing to organise (4.30) than they are interested in attending (4.15).
- Volunteer Commitment: 65% of respondents are willing to volunteer in network management. The estimated total weekly volunteer capacity is 34–76 hours.
- Occupation Status: Unemployed is the most common occupation status (19 selections), signaling an important role for the network in career development, mentorship, and job searching support.
- Talk Topics: Proposed talk topics are strongly concentrated around AI and Data Science.
- Geographic Reach: The network is spread across 21 countries, with the largest representation from Egypt (7), Germany (4), Nigeria (3), and the United Arab Emirates (3).
- Industry: Tech & Software is the most common industry (9 alumni), followed by Consulting & Business and Data & AI (4 each).
This includes several high-impact recommendations for the internal team and organisers:
- Flagship: Launch the Expert Series immediately, prioritizing the highly desired AI and Data Science topics.
- Secondary Focus: Schedule Tech Reviews and ET Sprints as secondary priorities, leveraging the high willingness to organize the latter.
- Quick Wins: Launch Accountability Pods and Virtual Deep Work Sessions as low-cost, high-demand initiatives.
- Global Reach: Pilot an Ambassador Program starting with Nigeria (where a volunteer has offered to serve as Country Ambassador) and expand to Egypt and Germany.
- Career Focus: Explore a structured mentorship matching program (pairing Cohort 6 alumni with older cohorts) and implement a dedicated alumni referral/job board.
- Formalize a volunteer structure with clear roles in Communication and outreach, Overall coordination and planning, Event and session facilitation, and Content & design.
