Hi, I'm Javid (Jay) Fazaeli 👋

Software Engineer — Full-Stack & Applied AI · Omaha, NE

I've been building software for 10+ years — from university management systems in Kabul to production web platforms and LLM-powered applications in the U.S. These days I work mostly in Python, TypeScript, and PHP, and I'm focused on the layer where AI meets real products: RAG pipelines, MCP servers, and automation that saves people actual hours.

What I'm building

  • 🔍 RAG applications — document chat with hybrid retrieval (semantic vector search + BM25), chunking pipelines, ChromaDB
  • 🔌 MCP servers — connecting AI agents to data they can use safely, through controlled tool interfaces
