aerocement

Open-source lightweight foamed / open-cell concrete (AR-GFRC oriented) for the OpenRoot lattice.

What this is

Material and construction system for single-story and appropriate-technology building. Focused on drill-and-bucket scale methods, open-cell thermal mass properties, and integration with passive solar and cooling designs.

Role in the Lattice

Primary physical material spoke. Provides the volumetric thermal mass and structural medium used by Node Zero and related thermal systems.

Bigger Picture

OpenRoot treats materials, energy, and coordination as one problem. A reproducible, low-tech, high-surface-area material that can store and move heat is a concrete way to increase useful capacity without continuous external power.

Current Status

Active. Design and build methods are public; physical iteration continues.
