Feature Request: Add Two-Factor Authentication and Email Notification Service

🚀 Summary

The current e-commerce project provides basic login and order functionality, but lacks two key features commonly expected in modern platforms:

• Secure login via Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
• Email notifications for order updates and login verification

🔐 Problem Statement

1. Login is currently protected only by username and password, which is vulnerable to credential theft.
2. Users do not receive email updates about their order status or login attempts, reducing transparency and trust.

💡 Proposed Solution

I would like to contribute the following enhancements:

• Implement OTP-based Two-Factor Authentication using Spring Security and Email.
• Add an Email Notification Service using Spring Mail to send:
  • OTP during login
  • Order confirmation
  • Order shipment updates

🛠 Technologies

• Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security
• Spring Mail, JavaMailSender API
• MySQL (existing)
• JSP/Thymeleaf (existing)

📚 Motivation

These features will:

• Improve account security and prevent unauthorized access
• Enhance user experience through timely updates
• Align the project with real-world e-commerce standards
