Hello!

My name is Jackson, and I study Computer Science and French at Lafayette College. My research sits at the intersection of machine learning, language, and scientific inquiry. Broadly, I am interested in how we can build learning systems that are not only effective, but also interpretable, reliable, and capable of generating meaningful scientific insight.

Outside of research, you can usually find me spending time with friends, playing piano or trombone, singing jazz, volunteering in church media ministry, or rewatching Seinfeld.

  • 🔭 Current projects

    • Model interpretability and evaluation
    • Weak supervision and label construction without ground truth
    • Computational linguistics, with a focus on idiomatic language
    • Generative AI workflows for building energy simulation and urban-scale energy analysis
  • 🔍 Research interests

    • Computational Linguistics
      • Idiomatic language, meaning, and language understanding
    • Interpretable & Explainable Machine Learning
    • Weak Supervision and Learning from Imperfect Labels

Salut !

    • Linguistique computationnelle
      • Expressions idiomatiques et compréhension du langage
    • IA explicable et interprétable
    • Supervision faible
    • Apprentissage automatique appliqué
    • IA pour la découverte scientifique
  • 🎓 Formation

    • Licence (B.S.) en informatique
    • Licence (B.A.) en français
    • Mineures en mathématiques et en biologie
  • 🌱 J'étudie actuellement

    • Les métriques d'interprétabilité
    • La psychométrie et les variables latentes
