My primary interests are backend engineering, distributed systems, software architecture, cloud computing, and operational security. I enjoy understanding how systems are designed, how services communicate at scale, and how engineering decisions impact performance, reliability, and maintainability.
I also have a growing interest in machine learning, particularly model training and deployment. Through academic projects, I have trained TensorFlow models and integrated them into production-like applications, gaining practical experience in the end-to-end machine learning workflow - from model development to deployment within software systems.

Developed a distributed gamer social platform based on a microservices architecture. Designed and implemented independent services for authentication, user management, game library management, activity tracking, notifications, and GDPR-compliant logging. Built a FastAPI API Gateway with JWT authentication, asynchronous inter-service communication using RabbitMQ, and centralized request tracing. Containerized the complete application with Docker and Docker Compose, applying modern software engineering practices including event-driven architecture, service isolation, and scalable API design.

Developed the post management module of a text-focused social media platform, implementing RESTful routes, business logic, and database queries for creating, retrieving, updating, and searching user posts. Designed and implemented a graph-based recommendation system in Neo4j to suggest relevant users and content based on social relationships. Reduced database load and improved recommendation response times by implementing Redis-based query caching. Created a comprehensive mock data seeding system to generate realistic datasets for development, testing, and demonstration purposes, ensuring reliable validation of application features across MongoDB, Neo4j, and Redis.

Developed the narrative engine and story management backend for an interactive Choose Your Own Adventure platform. Designed and implemented RESTful APIs, business logic, and database models for stories, pages, and branching choices using Flask and SQLAlchemy. Integrated the Flask API with a Django frontend supporting user authentication, role-based access control, gameplay tracking, and story analytics. Contributed to the overall application architecture by separating content management from user management into independent services.

Implemented the camera subsystem and machine learning pipeline for RecycleScan, a native Android application that identifies recyclable items from photographs and provides disposal guidance. Integrated the Android Camera API with a TensorFlow Lite model for on-device image classification, performed code reviews, and coordinated the integration of application modules developed by the team to deliver a fully functional Android application.
