💡 What: Replaced chained array methods (filter, reduce) with a single imperative loop wrapped in a useMemo hook for the totalSyllables and lyricLineCount calculations in SongEditor.tsx. Added a performance learning to .jules/bolt.md.
🎯 Why: SongEditor reacts to high-frequency audio timeupdate events. Calculating derived state using chained functional array methods causes unnecessary object allocations (intermediate arrays) and multiple iterations (O(3N) down to O(N)) on every single render, even when the underlying data (song.lyrics) hasn't changed.
📊 Impact: Reduces time complexity for metric calculations from multiple passes to a single pass, completely eliminates intermediate array allocations during audio playback, and uses memoization to skip the calculation entirely unless song.lyrics changes.
🔬 Measurement: Verify by playing audio in the editor and observing lower GC pressure and stable metric calculations in React DevTools during continuous re-renders.
