Little terminal clock with weather, colors, and a few knobs to turn. Think “peaclock but tweak-happy”.
./scripts/install.sh # builds + drops binary in ~/.local/bin, copies sample config
ru-clock # runs with ~/.config/ru-clock/ru-clock.confIf you’re not into the installer: cargo run --release.

Edit ru-clock.conf (the example ships with blank/fake coords):
format,tick_ms,font,digit_spacing,glyph_on/off,show_off_segments[colors] foreground/background/accent/secondary,duotone = trueto alternate colors[weather] enabled, latitude/longitude, unit, show_ascii, animate_ascii, show_icon/summary/location, auto_locate, geocode_query
Weather is from Open-Meteo (free, no API key). Geocoding (optional) uses Nominatim.
- Mono Minimal (white on transparent, slim font)
- Synthwave (cyan/magenta duotone, rounded font)
- High Contrast (white/yellow on black, block font)
Hit x to drop into mini font + single-line weather. Hit x again to bounce back.
./scripts/install.sh builds release and installs to ~/.local/bin. Make sure that’s on your PATH.
- Redraws are incremental to keep flicker and CPU low.
- If weather feels laggy, lower
refresh_secsor setshow_ascii = false. - Fonts and palettes are easy to add; PRs welcome.
