App operations can hang indefinitely when the simulator cannot terminate an application, leaving users without a clear recovery action. Offer Keep Waiting or Shut Down after installation, launch, uninstall, or installed-app queries have waited for 30 seconds.

Bind each prompt to its original simulator, dismiss it when the operation completes or the device stops, and suppress repeated prompts for that device after Keep Waiting. Shutdown uses the existing device-specific task cancellation. Present the native alert above app details, initialize its layout, and translate both actions and the explanation into English and Simplified Chinese.

Validation:

  • Release build and all 22 tests passed; the final alert layout regression, localization, and window-launch checks also passed.
  • Debug build and preview-scenarios test passed.
  • Swift formatting, current catalog categories, and localization extraction consistency passed.
  • Reproduced the UTM uninstall hang on the existing iPhone 17 simulator, observed the recovery prompt, and confirmed shutdown cleared the stuck processes. Verified the corrected Chinese alert has only the two intended actions.
  • Native UI tests cover Keep Waiting, exact shutdown targets, automatic dismissal, multiple stalled devices, existing detail sheets, and unexpected visible controls.
