Changes

Enable Updates for the selected simulator, offering the newest compatible build only when its version is higher than the installed version. Unknown versions and system apps are excluded from automatic updates. A sidebar badge counts pending updates and excludes completed updates retained for Open.

Reuse the existing download, package verification, and installation pipeline for replacements without uninstalling first. Details offer Update, Open, and historical-version selection; downgrades and replacements whose installed versions cannot be compared require confirmation. Completed updates stay in the current list with Open until opened, refreshed, or navigated away from.

Update cards show the version relationship, package size, and action in their footer, with download progress replacing the version text during transfer. Both the up-to-date and all-apps-installed empty states use green checkmarks. English and Simplified Chinese strings are included.

Validation

• Release and Debug builds, all 15 Release tests, and the Debug preview scenario test passed.
• Regressions cover numeric version comparisons, runtime compatibility and historical fallback, unknown/newer installed versions, system-app protection, retained cards and badge counts, failed replacements, and switching devices during a background update.
• Replacement pipeline tests verify that only simctl install is issued and failed attempts preserve the recorded installed version.
• Swift formatting, localization extraction, and diff checks passed.

Native update interaction checks remain unverified locally because the desktop was locked during testing. Live Simulator installation and application data preservation have not been tested locally.
