Why

The repo had no .gitignore, so Zig build outputs were committed to history: 18 .zig-cache/ files + the ~9.7 MB zig-out/bin/bag_of_actions binary. Build artifacts should never be tracked.

What

  • Add a polylingual .gitignore (Zig .zig-cache//zig-out/; Elixir _build/deps/.elixir_ls; Idris 2 build//*.ttc; editor/OS).
  • git rm -r --cached .zig-cache zig-out — untrack the 19 artifacts. Working-tree copies are kept; only index/history tracking is removed, so local builds are unaffected.

Verify

zig build # regenerates zig-out/ + .zig-cache/ — now ignored
git status # clean; artifacts no longer surface

No .gitignore existed, so Zig build outputs were committed: 18 .zig-cache/
files + the ~9.7MB zig-out/bin/bag_of_actions binary. Add a polylingual
.gitignore (Zig / Elixir / Idris 2 / editor) and untrack those artifacts.
Working-tree copies are kept; only index/history tracking is removed.
