🛠️ Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Google Chrome: The engine uses headless Chrome for scraping.
• Python 3.8+

Installation

1. Clone the Repo

   git clone https://github.com/houndini-geek/lyricsfusion.git
   cd lyricsfusion

2. Install Dependencies

   pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Run the App

   python genius_lyrics_scraper.py

📦 Creating a Windows Executable

To compile LyricsFusion PRO into a standalone .exe file, use PyInstaller.

1. Install PyInstaller

   pip install pyinstaller

2. Run the Build Command

   pyinstaller --clean --noconsole --onefile --name "LyricsFusion" --icon=lyricsfusion.ico --add-data "lyricsfusion.ico;." --collect-all customtkinter --collect-all stringmatch --collect-all rapidfuzz --collect-all unidecode --collect-all darkdetect --collect-all selenium --hidden-import 6513f5ca311b03114681__mypyc --hidden-import 4c842c94c09923bae9e4__mypyc genius_lyrics_scraper.py

Command Details:

• --clean: Clears PyInstaller cache and removes temporary files before building.
• --noconsole: Hides the terminal window when the application starts.
• --onefile: Bundles the entire app into a single executable.
• --name "LyricsFusion": Sets the name of the output executable.
• --hidden-import: Manually includes modules that PyInstaller's static analysis might miss (like randomized mypyc compiled extensions).
• --collect-all: Ensures all sub-modules and data for the specified libraries are correctly packaged.

The resulting executable will be located in the dist/ folder.
