The draft read as 'ready to paste' with no indication that the awesome-react-native PR had been open since July. Acting on it today meant discovering that only after a fork, a branch and a rejected push — the exact duplicate the note now prevents. Also corrects two other stale items: reactnative.directory lists both libraries already, and the repo's 13 topics are set, though the draft still says it has none and to add them 'now'. Adds the maintenance reality the draft never had. jondot/awesome-react-native has not moved since 2021-04-25 and has 111 open PRs, so #1217 will almost certainly not merge; enaqx/awesome-react is alive but explicitly asks people not to use it to promote their own work. Worth knowing before spending another afternoon on awesome lists.

Acting on the awesome-list draft today surfaced that it describes a world from six weeks ago.

jondot/awesome-react-nativePR #1217 has been open since 2026-07-12. The draft gave no hint of this, so following it meant forking, branching, and getting a rejected push before finding out. I updated #1217 in place instead — its description predated 1.1.0 and still led with Android glass optics rather than merging.Two more stale items fixed: reactnative.directory already lists both libraries, and the repo's 13 topics are set — the draft still says it has none and to add them "now".
The part the draft never had
jondot/awesome-react-nativeis dead. 35.7k stars, but master hasn't moved since 2021-04-25 and 111 PRs are queued. #1217 is unlikely to ever merge.enaqx/awesome-react(74k★) is alive — merged a PR this week — but its contribution note reads "kindly refrain from using this list as an advertisement board or a space to promote your experiments", and its five RN entries are react-navigation, realm-js, react-native-maps and similar. Not a fit yet.reactnative.directory was the channel that worked, and it's already done.
