Installation

###1. Downloading BetterDiscord The installation is different depending on which operating system you are on.
I recommend the BetterDiscord Wiki and BetterDocs for instructions.

If you have any questions, join the BetterDiscord Discord server.

###2. Downloading the theme file There are multiple ways of downloading the theme file. ####WAY 1: Using the direct BetterDiscord download link Those links automatically download the according theme files.

• Download Amber
• Download Amethyst
• Download Emerald
• Download Ruby
• Download Sapphire

####WAY 2: Downloading from Github releases Go to the Latest Github release and download the theme you want to have.

####WAY 3: Saving the raw file from Github Go to the theme folder in the Github repo, click on the Raw button, then right click and hit "Save as..."

###3. Installing the theme Move the .theme.cssto your BetterDiscord theme folder:

• Windows: %appdata%\betterdiscord\themes\
• Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/BetterDiscord/themes

If you have no idea how to open the according directory:

1. Open Discord
2. Open your user settings
3. Go to the BetterDiscord tab
4. Go to the themes tab
5. Click on the Open Theme Folder button

###4. Enabling the theme Make sure the theme file is placed in the correct folder and the file extension is .theme.css
(If you dont have "Show file extensions" enabled it will only show .theme!)

Now head back to Discord and restart it.
(Instead of restarting the whole programm you can reload using Ctrl + R)

Head to the themes tab and check the checkbox next to the theme you just installed!
(Now that you have the theme installed, you can read the Customization Wiki page and customize your theme)
