List Of Ports To Forward/Allow Through Firewall

It would be great to get this added to the docs as I was able to get everything setup, but there is no listed ports/port ranges that need to be forwarded/allowed through the firewall and I've tried doing some testing and it hasn't gone well, I can access it via my network but not outside and it's likely a port denial. (Also it should be included in the docs that port 7880 should be set to reject/block in your firewall as Livekit specifically states to not expose this port.)

Hi sorry for the late reply, kinda busy recovering my lost 2FA thanks to google. Sadly this includes my Github 2FA so rn my login session is still valid and once it expires rip so i hope github reaches out to me first via the ticket before that happens.

The ports needing to be forwarded depends on the setup and i agree it should be in the docs. I started to document more like https://docs.dcts.community/network/Port%20forwarding but still needs more work.

Basically, you have these ports:

• Livekit: https://docs.livekit.io/transport/self-hosting/ports-firewall/
• DCTS: Default 2052 (or you change it)
• If using a reverse proxy (nginx or caddy): 80, 443 (http(s)://)
  • if you use a reverse proxy you can avoid forwarding certain things like the dcts port, possibly some livekit ports too depending all on the way you wanna set it up.

I will document this kinda stuff more on the weekend, sadly i have a lot of irl bullshit to deal with
