The README opened with a static screenshot, and the card GitHub shows when the repository is shared was only the icon and a tagline. Neither tells a visitor what Request Eagle does before they scroll, which matters for the launches we are preparing.
The README now opens with a 20-second recording of the Linux build: opening saved requests from a collection, sending them with Ctrl+Enter, a passing test result, and finding a request through the command palette. It is 1000 px wide and 1.1 MB.
The social preview is a 1280 × 640 card with the headline, a one-line description, the platforms and the hero capture. The same file replaces the site's
og:image. GitHub has no API for the repository card, so it still needs to be uploaded under Settings > Social preview.docs/landing.mdexplains how both were made so they can be redone after interface changes.
