Plugins can edit sequences the way PopCraft's Edit mode does:
editSequence/getSequence: every timeline edit (cut, trim, place, effects, captions, mixing, multicam angles…) and a by-track read.addTitle: a title, lower third or subtitle as a clip.nestClips: clips nested into a new sequence, or a multicam clip withmulticam: true.syncAngles: a multicam clip's angles lined up by their sound.normalizeAudio: audio clips brought to one peak level.transcribeSequence: captions from the sequence's speech (spends the user's AI credits).The app answers these methods in getpopcraft/popcraft-app#572; once this is released, the app exposes the last five to plugins.
