⚡️ Feature: docker attach equivalent in web UI #1717

Closed

Description

@teeseal

Feature Description

Docker reference:
https://docs.docker.com/reference/cli/docker/container/attach

I want it to be possible to run a shell with stdin/stdout/stderr attached to the container's PID 1 in Arcane's web UI (i.e. what docker attach does).

Problem It Solves

Will allow containers that require user interaction to be set up entirely from the web UI.

Proposed Solution

This can probably work on the same base as the container shells do currently. Maybe we can just add a separate entry for attach in the shell dropdown:

    @Complexicon

    as part of the implementation the create container dialog should also provide a checkbox for creating interactive containers / attaching tty (-it docker flags) as this is currently only possible when using compose. this issue is preventing me from fully switching away from portainer
