filter & properties panels go above the header

more testing, when opening the map properties pane (which is above the georchestra header, not sure that's expected), the two buttons at the top don't have a description when hovering on them (or there's one since i see a black triangle, but the tooltip is outside the page ?), some conflict with the header?

it's the same thing with the properties panel & the filter panel on the homepage.

Hi, for the overlapping of the panel with the header, actually this is the best solution we found in terms of UI/UX to allow the panels to have enough space and at the same time reuse the existing core functionalities (in fact adapting to stay below requires some changes on MapStore core).

I found the issue you mention about the tooltips in the resource panel

I can not find if there are some other tooltips disappearing in the filter panel. I think you mentioned the filter panel only for the question of overlapping with header right?

If you think it is fine, I'd simply fix the header buttons by aligning them to the bottom in your version, like in this image below, so the tooltip is visible, withoud any other changes.

yes, if putting the buttons are the bottom allow to see the tooltip, that's more helpful. And yes, for the filters panel, the issue is only that it's on top of the georchestra header (like the properties panel) while i think they should only cover the webapp area, leaving the header visible.

Regarding your suggestion, I think it would be best to track this as a separate enhancement request to keep our current progress focused.

For the panel specifically, the current implementation is the most viable solution we have at the moment. It performed well during testing, but we’d value your feedback if you encounter any specific blockers.

If you’d like to keep track of this for future consideration as for your comment, please feel free to open a dedicated issue describing the use case. In the meantime, I think we consider this one ready to close, as far as properly tested.

@catmorales what do you think about the panels that overlap the georchestra header ? should this be fixed ? fixing tooltips for buttons is only a small part of the issue, actually the title of the issue itself is 'go above the header' so PR #760 only partially fixes it.

@tdipisa, @offtherailz, we believe (Rennes Metropole and his partners) this issue is unacceptable because it is not in line with the geOrchestra project. The geOrchestra header remains hidden. No other geOrchestra module has this kind of issue. What can you do to address this?
