🧭 trierarch - Pocket Arch Linux desktop on Android

📱 What trierarch does

trierarch brings an Arch Linux desktop with KDE Plasma to Android in a pocket-sized setup. It runs with Wayland and does not need Termux or Termux:X11. You get a Linux desktop you can carry in your pocket and use when you need a full desktop environment on the move.

🚀 Get it on your device

  1. Open the link above on your Android device.
  2. Find the latest release, APK, or install file on the page.
  3. Download the file to your device.
  4. Open the downloaded file.
  5. Allow installs from your browser or file manager if Android asks.
  6. Tap Install.
  7. Wait for the install to finish.
  8. Open trierarch from your app list.

If your device blocks the install:

  • Open Settings
  • Go to Apps
  • Select the app you used to download the file
  • Allow installs from unknown sources
  • Try again

🧭 First launch

When you open trierarch for the first time, it may take a bit longer than usual. This is normal for Linux-based apps because they set up files and desktop data on first run.

Follow these steps:

  1. Start the app.
  2. Let it finish its first setup.
  3. Allow any file or storage access it asks for.
  4. Wait while the desktop environment loads.
