Inconsistent behaviour in detailed list with covers

i could not find why but on my kindle volume numbers are not the number but the id while on pc it works as it should

i also tested "classic mode" (list in filename only) and it shows volume numbers.

i can test and tinker if you point me what should i be looking for, ill update the issue with my finds, if any.

Very confusing especially considering the order of fallbacks:

I wonder if this is down to file metadata differences? Since the volume is lower cased it doesn't seem to come from the function. Is it possible that the metadata returns volume 625?

edit:
I am now sure the issue is in the fake book manager I inject for cover browser. Somehow on device it seems there can be a condition where it is not initialized in a way where it correctly loads the metadata. Need to debug this a bit more.

Covers only work in combination with coverbrowser plugin. If coverbrowser plugin is active it takes the default setting for displaying the list.

Ah that explains that. Project: Title requires that plugin be disabled. No covers in your plugin for me in that case unfortunately :/

@EduFdezSoy I pushed a new version that should hopefully fix this problem. It is possible that you have to delete the bookinfo_cache.sqlite3 from KOReader settings folder.

deletion of bookinfo_cache.sqlite3 is required for this to work

when view mode: "Detailed list with cover images and filenames" it breaks now

otherwise it works as it should

That is expected behavior because I use the internal ids as virtual filenames for the cover view plugin. We could potentially make the filename friendlier by creating a file name from chapter name.
