dos-reform-bills

analysis.ipynb contains data collection, cleaning, and filtering code. visualization.ipynb contains code to generate basic graphs and descriptive statistics summarizing the data.

The included csv files are:

• rawdata.csv is the raw data downloaded from congress.gov.
• officehistorian.csv contains legislation drawn from the State Department Office of Historian.
• dos_dedupe.csv is the final dataset after cleaning and filtering.
• congress_parties.csv provides data on the majority parties in Congress for visualization purposes.
