Hey, I'm Florestan 👋

Senior Product Engineer based in Amsterdam. I build software for the web.

Proudly avoiding unnecessary meetings since 2017 😎

I built a product from scratch (CleverCash), worked for government, and consulted across different industries. My background in graphic design and photography shapes how I think about software and user interfaces: structure, clarity, and details matter.

Things should feel polished and considered. The same goes for codebases, systems, and tooling.

What I care about:

  • Scalable frontend architecture (Angular, TypeScript, NX monorepos)
  • Test coverage that exists for a reason (mostly because I like sleeping at night)
  • CI/CD pipelines that tell me when I’ve messed up
  • Clear requirements, thoughtful strategy, and prioritization
  • Asking the right questions before committing to expensive decisions
