Resume newer local progress instead of an older committed checkpoint - #63

Publish the retained two-file checkpoint-selection repair without changing save, push, approval, or usage controls. Preserve ambiguous records for reconciliation instead of hiding newer private progress.
Integration checkpoint — 2026-10-14The retained two-file repair is remotely published at c5ba949. Separate GitHub file reads confirmed helper blob6ea963099aacfdf6ead5de8cebc08f988fd04e32 and test blob e1552c925287c862a2482742c9ac2a30e5601df9. Main remains separate. The isolated full-source executor returned its first integration result in flavorgood/tradescoutAI PR816 comment6176779802. It reports actual adapter regeneration and source-identical projected helper, but a FAILED combined quality gate: unsupported public-profile-tier-parity case kind, four prompt-budget/required-phrase failures among324 tests, and an adapter with60 files exceeding the existing59-file budget. The canonical evaluation declaration and adapter assertion were independently read and confirm that interface mismatch. This is not a source/package pass and is not installed-client proof. The returned textual metadata diff contains abbreviated or altered context hashes compared with the exact upstream metadata. It is not accepted as byte-exact generated output and has NOT been applied. Its claimed local commit is not reported remotely published. The executor's incorrect file links under the TradeScout repository are not authoritative SI artifact links. Continuation si-pr63-package-repair-20261014 is already dispatched once through that same available executor (PR816 comment6176835861). It is limited to these demonstrated integration blockers, preserving the complete governing requirements, existing numeric budgets, seven roles, runtime dependencies, canonical checkpoint repair, and separate PR60/61 work. It must return machine-captured exact changed bytes plus hashes for independent validation and publication here. No duplicate task or documentation PR is needed. No main merge, plugin replacement, installed-client update, customer-data change or production deployment is established by this checkpoint. Retain original failures and fresh evidence separately; do not repeat the monthly audit or relabel the local recovery tests as universal adoption. |
Current state — October 14, 2026
The two-file source repair is remotely published at c5ba949, tree 7d99ad884484f47ccd9d1c9d20d88715393ed5f5, based on 09aba8a. Current repository metadata must determine whether this PR is open/merged; this dated body is not a live status service.
The first complete-source integration run has now executed and FAILED. Do not repeat it from the old assumption that no generators or full checks ran. The returned executor report is flavorgood/tradescoutAI PR816 comment6176779802, with the accepted coordinator interpretation in this PR comment6176890730.
The executor reports canonical index refresh and ChatGPT adapter regeneration, but its combined checks failed on an unsupported
public-profile-tier-parityevaluation kind, four prompt-budget/required-phrase failures among 324 unit tests, adapter60 files against the existing59-file budget, and release integrity. The relevant canonical case declaration and adapter assertion were independently read. Complete raw worker logs were not downloaded; counts/exits remain attributed to the returned execution report. The returned generated metadata diff contains abbreviated or altered context hashes compared with the actual source and is NOT accepted as byte-exact output. No generated files have been published from that text. The claimed executor commit9e66c9de55bc0d4e7c253d6a284efe4bd54e6ae0 is local-only; wrong-repository links in its report do not establish artifact publication.
The bounded package-repair continuation is already dispatched once as
si-pr63-package-repair-20261014(TradeScout PR816 comment6176835861). Its result has not yet been retrieved. It must preserve existing numeric ceilings and semantic requirements, repair only the demonstrated integration blockers, retain the checkpoint fix, and return machine-captured exact changed bytes plus hashes for independent publication on this same PR. Do not duplicate the task or create another documentation PR.Reproduced defect and retained repair
The canonical progress status helper always selected
.selective-intelligence/progress/latest.jsonwhen the tracked record existed. A subsequent successfulsavewithout--commitwrites a newer private Git-local record, but the next status process still returned the older tracked next step. Progress was saved, then hidden by selection.Only the existing canonical helper and existing test file change in the published head; the helper's original100755 executable mode is preserved.
skills/selective-intelligence/scripts/progress_checkpoint.py: orders both valid records by timezone-aware createdAt; identical records prefer tracked; conflicting identity/time, unreadable or unsafe paths, and a selected private checkpoint bound to another branch require reconciliation. Reports the selected source and explicitly does not claim external-state verification. Status never rewrites either checkpoint.skills/selective-intelligence/tests/test_progress_checkpoint.py: retains all eight original test methods and adds real Git/filesystem/fresh-process selection regressions.Remote blob creation and separate file readback exactly matched the retained tested identities: helper 6ea963099aacfdf6ead5de8cebc08f988fd04e32; tests e1552c925287c862a2482742c9ac2a30e5601df9. Original base identities were independently rechecked: helper7f999660642e969ca0ff26ac18bc5a3b1137ba8d; tests d45d925b41d2dbbb9ac31ad2437424144f6a52e3.
Save, commit/push verification, protected branches, permission/intent handling and usage controls are unchanged. No historical failure or checkpoint is deleted. This does not claim to fix every historical interruption or unsupported client session persistence.
Retained executed local proof
The complete prior repair archive was recovered and every manifest entry checked before publication. Its isolated Linux/Python3.13.5 proof remains bound to the unchanged source blobs, not relabeled as a new full-repository run:
Original sources, raw before/after logs and the complete repair archive are retained in the originating conversation; this PR does not claim to have uploaded those raw files. No unchanged focused suite was rerun merely to publish identical bytes.
Next unfinished transition and boundaries
Reconcile the existing package-repair result; independently validate its exact bytes, modes, source hashes and check outcomes; publish accepted changes on this branch. Preserve separate PR60/61 work and the existing public plugin. Do not weaken tests or invent model/free-client evidence to manufacture release readiness.
After integration, verify the actual supported installed-client task entry and a bounded continuation across a fresh process/context. A temporary CLI install or --help success is not persistent installation or verified task completion.
No main merge, public-plugin replacement, owner-computer installation, customer-record mutation, provider setting or production deployment is established by this source publication. Resume the first unproved transition; do not repeat the monthly audit, reimplement these files, overwrite unrelated project checkpoints, or treat an inaccessible local file as durable remote evidence.
