Yeah but the master builds with this right?
I also see this error:

 ../lib/autoconf/c.m4:1669: AC_PROG_CC_STDC is expanded from...
configure.ac:10: the top level
configure.ac:46: warning: AC_OUTPUT should be used without arguments.
configure.ac:46: You should run autoupdate.
configure.ac:17: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_ICONV

You think thats caused by the absence of gettext?

Yes, it could be.because I think gettext library was upgraded and they moved macro defined file.so we can try to use something like:

 autoreconf -i -f

for autoreconf configure.
