Hi, I'm Farhan Shafi

WordPress and Full-Stack Developer

I build WordPress plugins, Gutenberg blocks and custom themes, and full-stack apps with React, Next.js and Node.js. I've been doing this for six years, for product companies, agencies and direct clients.

I work at DotCamp, where I maintain Ultimate Blocks, a Gutenberg plugin used on more than 50,000 WordPress sites.

WordPress plugins

  • Ultimate Blocks: lead maintainer of a 36-block Gutenberg plugin used on 50,000+ sites. I ship free and Pro features, fixes and compatibility updates in PHP and React.
  • Galleryberg: built from scratch, with responsive layouts, a lightbox, captions, ACF and SCF image sources, and free and Pro versions.
  • TableBerg: moved the plugin from a custom table editor to native Gutenberg blocks without breaking existing tables.
  • SliderBerg: a slider block built with Swiper.js, where each slide can hold images, text, buttons or any other block.

Full-stack apps

  • WorkNavo: a client operations app for teams, with roles, time tracking, invoices and reports. Built with React, TypeScript, Express and MongoDB. Live site and code.
  • Reppod: a coaching app for trainers and their clients, with workout builders, progress tracking, messaging and AI-generated plans. Built with Next.js, TypeScript, MongoDB and Auth.js. Live site and code.
  • SecurePay: a multi-currency wallet with a React Native app and six FastAPI services, using PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ and Docker. It runs locally and is not deployed. Code.
