Problem. The reader has no way to find a word or an author inside a topic (legacy TopicSearchSheetView).
Cause. LOT-046's TopicSearchFlow exists but no app screen uses it.
What changed.App/SwiftHFR/Reader/Search/: TopicSearchModel (@Observable @MainActor), TopicSearchSheet, TopicSearching (+ LiveTopicSearcher), ReaderSearchFlow (secondary-menu entry + sheet, only with an account, never on a private conversation), ComposerServices.topicSearcher. Only the message number is read from HFR's Location; whether its page= follows the match is not captured (R52a's match is on page 1), so the target is ReaderTarget(anchor: n, numreponse: n) and HFR picks the page (R25). It goes through TopicReaderModel.follow after the sheet has closed (scroll in place, else a reader above). No result, refusal and failure are messages in the sheet. No reader.js message, TopicReaderModel.swift untouched. Spec: docs/lots/LOT-113-topic-search.md.
Not in this PR (spec "Pending capture", tracked on #491): "Filtrer" toggle, "Résultats suivants", the form's p (omitted, a departure from legacy), private conversations.
Tests.TopicSearchModelTests (new: 11 tests, one with 7 arguments). Written in the cloud: SwiftLint --strict clean locally; the app cannot be built or tested on Linux, so CI runs them and the "shown to fail without the change" mutation runs are left to the Mac check. Adversarial review by Opus: 3 rounds (REQUEST CHANGES, REQUEST CHANGES, APPROVE); every finding fixed or tracked.
Mac check needed (for mac/m2-lead)
Build and run the SwiftHFRTests/Reader/Search suite on iPhone 18 Pro and an iPad simulator (iOS 27.0); mutation runs: canSubmit ignoring searching, numreponse dropped from ReaderTarget(searchMatch:), page= read from the Location, cancel() not bumping the generation (filter by full Swift Testing name, LESSONS 54).
Logged in: "Rechercher dans le sujet" in the reader's secondary menu opens the sheet; logged out and on a private conversation: no entry.
Search a word present on a later page of a long topic: a reader opens above at that page and message (back returns to the page left); a match on the page shown scrolls in place. The reader opens after the sheet is gone (no dropped push) on iPhone and iPad.
Word absent: "Aucun résultat n'a été trouvé." in the sheet; author alone works; blank fields keep the button disabled; swipe-down is blocked while searching, "Annuler" works.
Search within a topic by keyword, author, or both. Searches require at least one non-whitespace criterion and provide progress and clear feedback when no match or an error occurs.
Jump to a matching message on the current page or open the page containing a match. Topic search is available when an account is configured and is not shown in private conversations.
Bug Fixes
Cancelled or superseded searches no longer replace newer search results.
The reader gains account-gated, in-topic search. The search model validates and trims criteria, handles results and errors, and converts matches into reader targets. The search sheet submits searches and the reader follows selected matches after dismissal.

Composer services provide a live topic searcher. The search model trims criteria, blocks duplicate submissions, maps results and errors to model state, and discards results from cancelled or superseded searches. Tests cover search behavior and match-target parsing.
Reader search and match navigation App/SwiftHFR/Reader/Search/ReaderSearchFlow.swift, App/SwiftHFR/Reader/Search/TopicSearchSheet.swift, App/SwiftHFR/Reader/TopicReaderView.swift, App/SwiftHFRTests/Reader/Search/TopicSearchModelTests.swift, docs/lots/LOT-113-topic-search.md
The reader presents a search sheet when topic search is available and the conversation is not private. The sheet submits criteria and opens a returned target; the reader follows the match after dismissal. Tests cover navigation on the current page and another page. The specification describes search behavior and deferred cases.

ezzz/HFRnow#294 — Introduces ComposerServices, which this change extends with a topic searcher.
ezzz/HFRnow#389 — Adds reader match navigation that this change uses for search results.
Merge Risk: Low · up to b9a25
The search handoff lacks end-to-end test coverage, so a future break could go unnoticed. Merge with follow-up coverage.
Security architecture risk: Low · up to b9a25
The new search uses the current account’s session, excludes private conversations and restricts results to the searched topic. No material security regression was identified in the inspected path. Cancellation and account-change behavior have source-level safeguards, but their complete runtime behavior remains unverified.
Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The inspected entrypoint exposes an authenticated search of the selected non-private topic under the current account’s existing privileges. A returned match cannot select another account, topic or arbitrary destination through this navigation path.
Security Findings and Attack Paths
inferred — The examined attack path from a malicious Location header to credential-bearing navigation is constrained twice: the search flow validates origin and exact topic, and the application discards the URL except for its message anchor. No bypass of these controls was identified in the inspected path.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — The request requires a nonempty session token and targets the fixed HTTPS forum endpoint with redirects disabled. A result must use HTTPS, the exact forum host, the default HTTPS port, no user information, the forum2.php path and the searched topic identity.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
inferred — Existing session-generation root rebuilding separates replacement-account navigation from the old sheet’s pending state. Transport source uses cancellable asynchronous URLSession operations and a task-group deadline, which supports cleanup but does not prove prompt termination or every SwiftUI teardown ordering at runtime.

[#204] The service wiring, reader integration, search model and sheet, tests, and specification support topic search. No unrelated change is evident.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
[#204] The sheet, LOT-046 adapter, match navigation, French error messages, and Swift Testing model tests implement the word and author search flow. The spec identifies the omitted « Filtrer les messages » toggle as a legacy-parity loss in that flow. The issue requires legacy parity. The spec also says no capture establishes whether the submitted POST without p works. Mutation results are pending, so the required proof that each new test fails without the change is unavailable.
Resolution
Restore the legacy filter option for topic search. Provide evidence that HFR accepts the POST without p and that each new test fails without the change.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 37.50% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 8 functions across 7 files.
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

Test the search-result handoff after dismissal.
The navigation tests call reader.follow(target) directly. They would pass if ReaderSearchFlow dropped the sheet’s result. Add a test that submits a match through the sheet, dismisses it, and checks the resulting scroll or linked reader.
