This unfinished ROCm draft now conflicts with master. To resume it safely, please provide the supported ROCm version, GPU/driver model, exact build command, and a minimal attach smoke-test result, then rebase onto current master; without that hardware/runtime evidence the branch cannot be validated or made merge-ready.
