ETE 4.0

ETE 4.0 already managed to achieve, among other things, the following goals:

• Have full Python 3 support (and drop 2.7 compatibility)
• Improve installation, releasing systems and packaging
• Fix (most of the) reported bugs
• Include new features like:
  • New module for side-by-side tree comparison: tree-diff
  • TreeMatcher module (regular expression tree-based searches)
  • Interactive large tree visualization (smartview module)
  • GTDB taxonomy module

This roadmap has not been updated since then.
