This is a shared practice repository for the Git & GitHub at emLab code-along demo held on July 7, 2026 as a part of the updated emLab Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) rollout. The demo will walk through the new elements of the SOP: formatting code, using GitHub issues, branching, using pull requests to conduct code review, and resolving merge conflicts.

If you'd like to code along during the demo, bring your laptop and make sure you have the following:
- GitHub account — Sign up if you don't have one
- Git installed on your computer — Download Git
- emLab GitHub organization membership — contact Danielle, Tracey, Gavin, Jordan, or Erin if you need to be added
